Red clover is a perennial, and will not winter kill. Sow in spring, summer or fall, and mow to prevent seed set. In the following spring, after the first season, mow and incorporate well by hand or with mechanical cultivate. Also makes a great pasture crop.

Sow in spring, summer, or fall. To sow: Broadcast seeds lightly and evenly over appropriate area, and rake in well to a deep of about 1 inch. Water upon sowing, and keep watered until germination. irrigate if possible when young if the weather is dry. Mow if necessary to prevent seed set. Incorporate to kill the clover in the second season of growth.
