Anise-flavored herb with pollinator-attracting flower stalks.
This pungent herb is a bulked-up version of anise hyssop, with a flavor that is sweeter and more delicate. Pretty plants with big spikes of lavender blooms which attract pollinators and make striking cut flowers. Known as baechohyang or banga in South Korea, this plant is added to stews and pancakes.
Growing instructions
Sow seeds on the surface of moist potting soil and keep it evenly moist, cool, and in the sunlight until germination. Start indoors, and later transplant in full sun 12" apart.
