Arikara Sunflower

Helianthus annuus

Conventionally Grown

Big, showy blooms great for producing seed.

A Native American heirloom originally grown by the Arikara tribe. Growing up to 10-12' tall, these single to multi-headed sunflowers produce an abundance of edible seed. Gorgeous shaggy golden petals evoke Van Gogh's famous impressionist paintings. Use as shade for cool-loving crops in the garden or add cheer to the back of borders.
