Garden Cress
Certified Organic
Lepidium sativum
Tasty addition to salads and sandwiches.
Garden cress is similar to watercress, but is more potently flavored. It's truly peppery; compared to arugula, it has more tang and less body. It really livens the palate, even when it's used sparingly on salads and sandwiches. Easy and fast-growing; it bolts quite quickly so, if you enjoy it, plan succession sowings.

Garden cress is a cold season green that requires steady moisture. Can be started outdoors early-mid spring and early fall. Cress does not tolerate heat, so avoid sowing in the summer months. Harvest as soon as it reaches 3-4" tall.
Garden cress can also be grown successfully in containers: sow thickly, allowing about 2" between plants.
