Petit Marseillais Pepper
Capsicum annuum
Sustainably Grown
Grown on Our Farm
Hail from the South of France.
Roughwood Seed Manager Owen Taylor fell in love with this heirloom pepper from the South of France, and soon Will Weaver found himself cooking these brilliant wrinkled yellow peppers in every meal. Four-to five-inch golden yellow pods are sweet, and their productivity makes them an all-summer producer, from mid-season until frost. Good income for small growers; pickles galore for the home gardener, and ideal for stuffing. It is the same shade of yellow as the Roughwood Golden Plum Tomato.
Growing instructions
Start indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost in very warm spot (80 degrees is ideal). Keep seedlings in a well-ventilated place at 70+ degrees and do not over water. Transplant outdoors in full sun into rich, well drained soil after threat of frost has passed. Peppers can tolerate dryness and heat, but need moderate water to produce fruit and prefer to be watered at the base.
