K works with our artists to help them share the stories of our seeds. He keeps the seed company true to its original mission protecting seeds, increasing seed diversity, fostering an ethical seed landscape, and celebrating the art of seed.

Favorite Art Pack: Heart Seed. Being a seed saver is about being in a relationship with plants. All seeds love us back, but this one knows how to show it!

Megan helps to keep the retail shop, events and workshops running smoothly.

Favorite Art Pack: Persian Carpet Zinnia. She appreciates that these late-summer stunners are super easy to grow.

Seedy Secret: When not at the HVSC, you will find Megan practicing her disco skate moves over at Skate Time.

Steven manages all aspects of our organic seed farm.

Favorite Art Pack: Sacred Basil. He appreciates the beautiful mandalic symmetry of the pack and the adaptogenic quality of the plant.

Seedy Secret: He is just as superstitious as he is rational.

Diana tends to all of the little seedlings in the greenhouses for you to grow out in your home gardens.

Favorite Art Pack: Milkweed. Diana has a thing for milkweed habitats and monarch butterflies as symbols of transformation.

Rebecca works on the farm growing our plants into seeds!

Seedy Secret: Seed steward by day, rockstar by night, Matthew is a lifelong guitarist, songwriter, and blossoming audio engineer.

Emilia assists the financial team and aids in compliance as well as office needs.

Favorite Art Pack: Polar Bear Zinnia. Emilia loves the relaxed polar bear amongst whimsical zinnia mandalas. She resonates with the colors and vibe.

Seedy Secret: Whenever the scenario arises where she needs to hunt down information or investigate something, her imagination strongly sparks a vision. She is suddenly wearing a long trench coat and holding up a giant magnifying glass. Detective mode.

Dani takes a careful eye over our behind-the-scenes financials.

Favorite Art Pack: Waltham Butternut Squash. The art reminds her of how much she enjoys being in the kitchen.

Seedy Secret: Dani loves anything outdoors. Fresh air is good for the soul.

Jen manages all art print production and inventory, manages the original art archive, and assists with calls for art and new art-related product development.

Favorite Art Pack: Mache. It provides fresh greens when she craves them most—at the very beginning and the very end of the growing season. She loves how this subtle, layered artwork makes mache look larger than life.

Seedy Secret: Jen loves to procrastinate by baking.

Crimson coordinates wholesale orders and provides phone support to both wholesale and retail customers.

Seedy Secret: Crimson is a garden lover, avid cross-stitcher and hockey fan. A perfect combination!

Ellie is a member of our farm team helping to grow seeds for your gardens!

Favorite Art Pack: Multi-Hued Yarrow Mix. Ellie loves this art pack for its combination of beauty and utility. And just look at those sweet little hedgehogs in a yarrow forest!

Seedy Secret: Though she has never been able to master the art of “normal” whistling, Ellie is an expert at whistling through an acorn cap.

Lindsay answers customer calls and emails, fielding your plant questions along the way.

Favorite Art Pack: Golden Amaranth. She's a sucker for mustard yellow and loves the stitch used in the embroidery on this pack (French Knot).

Seedy Secret: Lindsay is a novice sewist who has big dreams of pattern hacking the best work dress for femme gardeners who don't want to work in pants.

Jennifer is there to cheerfully greet you and help guide you through your seed journey.

Favorite Art Pack: Silver Slicer Cucumber. She has been gardening for 30 years and this variety of cucumber repeatedly impresses her with its tolerance to insects and disease. No matter at what stage they are picked, they are crisp and sweet, never bitter. They make great pickles and are delicious out of hand.

Seedy Secrets: Jennifer has been a vegetarian for 40 years and is in a women’s chorus called The Goddess Party.

Kenny is part of our farm crew and helps harvest and process seed.

Favorite Art Pack: Black Futsu. They were the first seeds he sowed at the start of his farming life.

Seedy Secret: He likes Japanese stand-up comedy.

Alexis crafts digital content that showcases our products, enhances brand awareness, and shares stories about the happenings of the Hudson Valley Seed Company.

Favorite Art Pack: Marigold Medley. She loves that they are one of the last blooms holding on throughout her favorite season (fall) and the spiritual significance of them. 

Seedy Secret: Alexis is a crazy cat lady at heart and has two tortie cats.

Jake ferries all the seeds, tiny and great, to their seed pack homes in ship shape, so they can sail merrily to you!

Molly assists our customers with their orders and gardening questions.

Favorite Art Pack: Matchbox Pepper. Molly adds peppers to most meals, including breakfast.

Kate makes sure our seeds get turned into the garden, homestead, and farm packs available for your purchasing pleasure.

Seedy Secret: Her entire department (and life) would fall apart without Keith Werwa.

Ignacio makes sure to spread our mission through the web, while digitally cultivating and harvesting new customers.

Favorite Art Pack: Blue Jade Dwarf Sweet Corn. The corn, usually yellow, representing the sun. The blue, as the emotional ocean, the moon. A map to guide the ones that like to dance under them.

Seedy Secret: Ignacio is from the South of South America, where a huge stone used to pulse on top of a mountain.

Seedy Secret: Tiffany has taught elementary art for several years and has a small collection of children's skeleton drawings that is one of her most prized possessions.

Katie is part of our farm crew that grows and process our own organic open pollinated seeds.

Favorite Art Pack: Shanghai Baby Bok Choy. Baby Bok Choy has been her favorite vegetable since childhood, and she loves the babies reaching out to grab it.

Cara receives all your seedy orders and makes sure they are sent to you safe and sound.

Favorite Art Pack: Pansy Mix. Cara loves this pack for the obvious reason that these flowers are playful and gorgeous, but equally important, she loves it for its social justice message.

Seedy Secret: When Cara Sue is not at HVSC she hosts a weekly LGBTQ social night called Pansy Club here in the Hudson Valley.
