Fritillaria uva-vulpis
Bell-shaped, maroon-and-gold flowers on gracefully arching stems.
Blooms early spring
Exquisitely graceful and adorable, natural-looking, early spring bells. This 1874 heirloom produces glaucous foliage and pendulous bell-shaped blooms on arching stems. If other spring colors can seem garish, opt for these understated hues of maroon and gold. Wonderful planted in woodland borders amongst spring ephemerals. Reaches 14" tall and readily naturalizes. Resistant to deer and rodent damage.
Prefers light shade or dappled sunlight. Plant as soon as possible after receipt, as Fritillaria do not like to be out of the soil for long.
