Also known as the Spring Starflower. A darling, snow-white, fragrant variety that produces multiple stems of star-shaped flowers in very early spring. Ipheion is considered to be one of the easiest bulbs to grow and will naturalize quite readily. Grows to be about 6" tall. Makes an excellent early spring lawn tapestry, woodland border, or rock garden planting. Lovely interplanted with Muscari.

Ipheion likes moist, nutrient-rich, well-draining soil, and will naturalize readily if happy where it's planted. They do best in full sun to partial shade. Should be planted 4" deep in fall, and watered in well after planting.
