Direct sow when soil is workable in the spring under protection. Succession sow for continual harvest of baby leaves. Or thin baby leaves for salad and allow the remainder to grow to maturity. Does well for fall harvest as well. Spring sown crops must be harvested young to help prevent bolting. Will over-winter with protection and give greens through January at least.
