Chionodoxa forbesii
The sweetest star-shaped blooms of cornfllower blue and white.
A favorite of our spring trials! Cornflower blue and white flowers pop on contrasting dark stems. Each stem has up to 12 blue-tipped, substantial, star-shaped florets. While small in stature, reaching about 6" in height, these bulbs put on a cheery display in early spring, especially when planted drifts.
Full to part sun. Naturalizes readily.
Does not ship internationally.
Growing instructions
Chionodoxa like nutrient-rich, well-draining, neutral soil, and will naturalize readily if happy where they are planted. They do best in full sun to partial shade. Should be planted 4" deep in fall, and watered in well after planting.
