Wood Sorrel
Oxalis adenophylla
Interesting and unique alpine ground cover
Blooms late spring
This beautiful and interesting heirloom has dainty white to lilac-pink flowers that float on thin stems above silvery, clover-like foliage. Wood Sorrel is a naturalizing, seasonal ground cover that will grow in 8-10" thickening mounds. The flower buds appear beautifully twisted when closed and will open and close on sunny days. Looks great in borders, as an alpine planting, or in pots. Also makes a great houseplant. If happy where it is planted, Wood Sorrel will mature over time and can naturalize by corm offsets. It does not propagate by seed, unlike other Oxalis varieties.
